Thorpeness Golf Club

Designed by James Braid and built in 1922, this coastal heathland course is one of Suffolk's best kept secrets. The greens are considered to be amongst the best in East Anglia.

New membership scheme will be launched on 1st January 2002, allows new members to buy units on a smart card and play golf when they chose. Therefore members get all the benefits of a golf membership (handicap, competitions, reserved tee-times) and the choice of how much they pay and when they play. For further details contact Charlie Langlands on 01728 452 176.

The course provides a true challenge and, being built on sandy soil, golf can be enjoyed all year round. 30 en-suite rooms are available in the Golf Hotel, plus 3 other hotels in the group in Thorpeness and nearby Aldeburgh. Regular weekend open competitions throughout the year.
